On May 12, 2011, our organization’s Nordic, Baltic and Eurasian brands were joined under a common brand identity, bringing about even more and better services and offerings to the benefit of our customers.
We marked the introduction of the new brand identity by introducing a tangible benefit that enables our customers to continue their digital lifestyles beyond their home countries. This is achieved by a daily cost control function and lowering data roaming prices by approximately 90 percent.
This price reduction is made possible by fully utilizing our Nordic and Baltic presence. The lowered prices and cost control functions automatically apply to all TeliaSonera’s customers in the Nordic and Baltic countries. All customers have total control over costs since a text message is sent by us to the customer when the daily amount is used up and the customer should need to buy more data to stay online.
TeliaSonera is striving for reduced international data roaming prices, believing that this will improve customers’ trust in our services and as a pioneering operator of the telecom industry. In the recent years, our customers have benefited from reductions in the prices for voice and SMS roaming services and from increased transparency, in line with the intentions of the EU-Commission.
