Tell us what you work with
"TeliaSonera is growing and capturing large market shares all over the world. The company has achieved a relatively large part of this growth by acquiring companies. In Eurasia, we have eight companies in eight countries. I am responsible for rebranding projects in which we link these companies together under the same corporate visual identity. These companies previously operated under different names and had different logos and company values. We keep the individual names of the companies in each country, but give them a common logo and common colours."
What does this work mean for the employees in these countries?
"They are enthusiastic. With a common branding platform, we increase their sense of belonging to our group and strengthen the corporate culture. We have assembled an international group of marketing managers from different countries to help us gain a deeper understanding of the various markets that are involved. It has been a real success story!"
How did you get this job?
"The combination of my marketing experience, and my work with international projects in the company for 15 years, were probably the decisive factors for awarding me this position. This background gave me the right skills for the job. I'm very happy for this position. Right now, I have my dream job."
Tell us a little about your career with TeliaSonera
"I started out in the personal pager department at one of our Finnish companies. After a while, I transferred to a business area focusing on mobile solutions and later took a position in marketing. Working in TeliaSonera also means an opportunity to travel. I have worked in Hungary, Germany and Kazakhstan. And who knows where I will end up in the years to come. TeliaSonera operates in 20 countries, so I am still in the process of broadening my horizons!"
