European Athletics Championships 2006

The biggest event of the decade in Sweden takes place this summer – the European Athletics Championships (EAC) in Gothenburg during August 6 – 13. The competitions start 7th August but already on Friday the 4th the festivities surrounding the event in the city commence and go on until Sunday 13th. It is expected that 32 000 spectators will follow the games on site in the Ullevi arena, more than 200 000 people are likely to visit Gothenburg and 65 million will watch the EAC on TV – each day!
