Eurasia
Eurasia comprises mobile operations managed by Fintur in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Moldova and a shareholding of 12.25 percent in Afghanistan’s largest operator Roshan. The business area also includes TeliaSonera’s shareholdings in Russian MegaFon (43.8 percent) and Turkish Turkcell (37.3 percent). The business area’s main responsibility is to create shareholder value and to exploit penetration growth in the respective countries. Under the brands K’Cell, Azercell, Coscom, Indigo, Somoncom, Geocell, Moldcell MegaFon, Turkcell and Life mobile services are offered in markets that all provide a clear growth potential. The goal is to become the leading Eurasian mobile operator.
