TeliaSonera International Carrier provides quality cross-border communications services globally, and quality domestic voice and data services in Sweden and Finland.
We have a complete portfolio of voice, mobile, IP and capacity services. Our customers are operators, carriers, service providers, content providers and other large-scale users e.g. online gaming providers, professional media companies and universities.
TeliaSonera International Carrier provides direct connections to our network for 85% of all European broadband service providers and carries most of all European online gaming, one of the fastest growing services on the Internet.
TeliaSonera International Carrier manages the traffic of more than 300 operators spanning the globe as well as the outbound traffic of the TeliaSonera Group’s retail operations. We carry in excess of 8 billion minutes per year, and are rapidly growing. We are the only European Tier 1 in the world.
We own and operate more than 43,000 kilometres (~27,000 miles) of fiber network, which covers more than 100 points of presence in major cities in 35 countries across Europe, North America and Asia. By centrally managing the networks, we can pro-actively monitor and optimize network performance from our 24/7/365 Network Operation Centers. Using partners, we are able to extend our network reach beyond our own infrastructure.
Our largest competitors within voice communications are Belgacom and Cable & Wireless, within IP Global Crossing, Sprint and Level 3, and within capacity our main competitors are Interroute, Global Crossing, Colt and Level 3.
