Strong position in mobile communications, broadband and cable TV

TeliaSonera focuses primarily on mobile services, broadband services and cable TV in Denmark. The services are marketed under the brands Telia, Telia Stofa and debitel.

TeliaSonera is the second largest supplier of telecom services on the Danish market. The company has introduced a number of innovative offers and has been a driving force in the development of services based on a fixed price.

Mobile prices in Denmark have stabilized due to the consolidation of the industry that followed after a period of price falls. Still, Denmark, in addition to Finland, has some of the lowest mobile prices in Europe.

The acquisition of the Danish Orange operations at the end of 2004 brought 630,000 new mobile customers and significantly strengthened TeliaSonera’s market position. Orange has been successfully integrated into the other operations.

TeliaSonera offers broadband services in both cable TV network and ADSL and offers mobile broadband access via HomeRun. Denmark has one of the highest broadband penetrations in Europe.
