    • We have already launched 4G commercially to customers in Stockholm and Oslo.
  • Why does TeliaSonera launch 4G already in 2009?
    • We offer 4G to respond to our customers' continuously increasing need for speed and capacity. To be early out with 4G is a natural step for us being a pioneer in the telecom industry.
  • What can you do with 4G?
    • 4G will open up new possibilities for customers to enjoy services on their laptops, being on the move, which require high transmission speed and capacity, such as advanced web TV broadcasting, extensive online gaming and web conferences – on top of that we add on the mobility demension.
  • How fast is 4G?
    • 4G is the fastest mobile technology available on the market, with speeds up to 10 times higher than with Turbo-3G.
  • In which countries does TeliaSonera have 4G licenses?
    • TeliaSonera has three nation wide 4G/LTE licenses; in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
  • Which suppliers has TeliaSonera chosen for the further 4G rollout?
    • TeliaSonera continues the build out of 4G in Sweden and Norway. The common 4G/LTE core network will be delivered by Ericsson and the radio networks by Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks. TeliaSonera’s current 4G networks cover the central city areas of Stockholm and Oslo. The 4G network roll-out will continue to Sweden’s 25 largest municipalities and recreation areas and to Norway’s four largest municipalities to offer communication services for the future. The agreement with Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks cover network roll out during 2010 and 2011.

      Huawei supplies the 4G city network in Oslo today and continues to finalize the city network.
  • How much does 4G cost in Sweden?
    • During the introduction offer period (until 1 July 2010) you pay 4 SEK/month incl. VAT.

      4G and 3G modem is included. At launch the customer will have a 4G modem that only handles the 4G traffic. Free exchange to a modem that handles both 4G and 3G when it is available during second quarter 2010.
      Binding period of at least 12 month (new and free customer).

      From July 1, 2010, customers pay the ordinary price of 599 SEK/month incl.VAT. Modem has to be paid for separately. The price includes the usage of 30 GB data per month.

  • How much does 4G cost in Norway?
    • During the introduction offer period (until 1 April 2010) you pay only 1 NOK to get access to the 4G network.

      4G and 3G modem is included. At launch the customer will have a 4G modem that only handles the 4G traffic. Free exchange to a modem that handles both 4G and 3G when it is available during second quarter 2010.
      Binding period of at least 12 month (new and free customer).

      From April 1, 2010, customers pay the ordinary price of 699 NOK/month incl.VAT. Modem has to be paid for separately. The price includes the usage of 30 GB data per month.
