TeliaSonera is the first operator in the world to commercially launch 4G. We offer our customers 4G in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. We are proud of being pioneers of the telecom industry. TeliaSonera also has 4G pilot network installations for customers in Lithuania and Latvia and have made 4G live connections in Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. During the Swedish Crown Princess' Royal Wedding in June 2010, Swedish tv companies broadcasted live via 4G from the celebrations in Stockholm.
Increased demand for speed and capacity
In the Nordic and Baltic region, we experience a boom in mobile broadband through new ways of using internet services. Connected laptops with mobile broadband have become life companions that bring us information, TV programs, entertainment, new business, education, etc. – wherever we are. The choice is easy. A majority of laptops are sold together with a mobile broadband subscription and many laptops also have a mobile broadband modem embedded.
Super fast 4G
With 4G, customers can use super fast mobile broadband access offering mobile broadband speeds up to 10 times higher than with today's Turbo-3G. TeliaSonera has nationwide 4G licenses on 2.6 GHz in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Uzbekistan.
4G live in the Nordic and Baltic countries – a high speed region
TeliaSonera launched the first 4G networks in the world in Stockholm and Oslo in December 2009. The pioneering 4G city networks cover the central areas of capitals and larger cities. Since then we have launched the first commercial 4G networks in Finland, and Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania. Being first out with new technology gives us unique experience and advantages that our customers benefit from. It also shows our customers that a relationship with us is future proof.

World's first modems for 4G, 3G, 2G and PC/Mac
TeliaSonera offers customers modems with combined functionality for 4G, 3G, 2G and PC/Mac. This makes the 4G offer even stronger since users only need one modem to use different mobile broadband network services.
Fast expansion
TeliaSonera's extensive roll out plan for 4G network continues. 4G is now available in 17 Swedish cities in Sweden, and will be available in 228 cities, vacation areas and ski resorts by the end of 2011. In Denmark TeliaSonera is expected to cover 75 per cent of the population by the end of 2011, and in Norway 89% by the end of 2012, as well as expansive rollouts are planned in Finland and Estonia.
In parallel with our 4G roll out we expand our Turbo-3G networks extensively to increase coverage and capacity.
